Does Drinking Water Actually Improve Your Skin? Lazuk esthetics, Alpharetta, GA

Does Drinking Water Actually Improve Your Skin?

By Dr. Lazuk, Co-Founder and CEO of Lazuk Cosmetics® | Esthetics® | Alpharetta, GA

Let me give you the nuanced answer to one of skincare's most debated questions.

Does drinking more water improve your skin?

Partially yes. Mostly… it's more complicated.

If you're chronically dehydrated… yes. Rehydrating will help. Skin cells function better with adequate internal hydration.

But for most people, drinking a normal amount of water… drinking more won't

dramatically change how your skin looks.

The skin is the last organ to receive nutrients and water from the circulatory system.

Topical hydration… barrier repair… and inflammation control have a more direct impact on how your skin looks and feels.

That said…

Hydration is still foundational. Alongside sleep, nutrition, and stress management.

The truth is… healthy skin is a systems outcome. Not one habit. Not one product.

All the pieces are working together.

May your skin glow as brightly as your heart.
