Vitamin C Serum: Why Most People Are Using It Wrong

By Dr. Lazuk, Co-Founder and CEO of Lazuk Cosmetics® | Esthetics® | Alpharetta, GA

Vitamin C is one of the most talked-about skincare ingredients. It's also one of the most misused.

Here's what most people get wrong.

First… stability. Vitamin C oxidizes quickly. If your serum has turned yellow or orange…

It's lost most of its potency. Toss it. Get a fresh, sealed bottle.

Second… timing. Vitamin C is a morning ingredient. It neutralizes free radicals from UV and pollution exposure throughout the day. Using it at night only works if your formula is truly stable.

Third… layering. Vitamin C and certain acids don't play well at the same time. Using them together can destabilize both.

And fourth… concentration. More isn't always better. Ten to twenty percent is typically the sweet spot for efficacy without irritation.

Vitamin C done right is genuinely transformative for brightness, tone, and antioxidant protection.

Done wrong… it's an expensive waste.

May your skin glow as brightly as your heart.
